Bettye June (Wilson) Slatton

Bettye June Slatton, age 93, of Whitwell, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, March 1, 2026. She was born, July 30, 1932, in Birmingham, Alabama.

Betty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She devoted her life to caring for her family and created a home filled with warmth, strength, and unconditional love. Her kindness and steady presence were a blessing to all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Slatton; son, Mike Slatton; granddaughter, Sandy York; and her parents, Herbert and Nella Wilson.

Left to cherish her memories are her children, David (Cynthia) Slatton of Dallas, Texas, Vickie Whitaker of Whitwell, Tennessee, Tammy Thorn of Wills Point, Texas, and Darla Slatton of Kemp, Texas; siblings, Joan (Tommy) White and Donnie Wilson; grandchildren, Wayne Slatton, Michael Slatton, Jeremy Slatton, Christopher Slatton, Anthony Slatton, Amanda Griffith, Amanda Slatton, Melanie Slatton, Jenny Desselle, Monica Whitaker, Shane Slatton, Jason Thorn, Angel Thorn, Stephanie Lewis, and Jeffery Brantley; several great-grandchildren; along with extended family members and many friends.

Betty’s legacy of love, devotion, and strength will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Her family will receive friends, 4PM-8PM, CST, Wednesday, March 4, 2026.

Funeral Service 11AM, CST, Thursday, March 5, 2026, in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Jerry Basham officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Olive Cemetery.
